Microsoft Office X transfer onto new laptop

Please can you help. I have just bought a new Mac laptop and want to transfer my Microsoft Office X from my old to my new laptop. My installation CD has been damaged and can not be read by any drives but I can transfer the M.O. X files from my old laptop to my new one via a firewire cable. However it says the software is already registered (to me) and I can not use it on this new laptop. I have all the registration numbers from the CD box but it doesn't give me the option to fill them in anywhere. Can anybody help? Many thanks.
