Last year I installed a new HDD(80Gb),I left my old HDD (20Gb) in place disconnected. My question is, is it possible to re-connect my old HDD in such a way that it would be separated from the main one so that it could be used as an independant file store? I will be interested to receive any comments.WR.

This is fairly straightforward, if you managed to change them over successfully then you should be fine. the only fiddly bit is changing the old one from 'master' to 'slave' which you do by removing a little plastic clip from two metal prongs and putting it back on two different metal prongs.
or you could buy a hd caddy thing which will conect to your pc via the usb port.
I recently added a 'caddy' so my husband could access the HDD from his old PC - this kept him very happy!
