Locating public phone boxes

I have been set a challenge and I need to know where I can find a directory of public phone boxes. I have the numbers but need the locations. BT are not happy to help by the way.

Just to add: I have tried ringing many of them but not many people have answered and when they have they are usually too reticent to give me a location.

How many are you talking about in total? Do these include Scotland?

Actually they are ALL in Scotland. I have 25.

I thought you meant you had to find the location of all public 'phone boxes for a second. Anyway, how specific do you need to be with the location? If it's quite general, you could just use bt.com to find out where the area codes are. I can help you with any that begin 01890. (I live in England, but the postcode and 'phone numbers 'round here are scottish).

Thanks for offering your help: I have got the areas from doing just as you suggest, but need to find the streets etc. that these public phone boxes are on. I am trying to find the actual whereabouts of someone.

Try looking on ordnance survey maps which have symbols on for public phoneboxes.

Blimey, that was a quick three stars!!! Luckily I've been doing a lot of map reading and walking lately which twigged my memory.

get a job in a bt call centre ( always recruting , i work in one ) you will have acess to a system that will tell u the exact adress of any number . this is illeagl but sometimes u would do anything just to locate that phone box !
