Is it possible to get a piece of software that will detect if I am recieveing an incoming telephone call when I am connected to my broadband internet connection? I don't need to be able to take the call online - although even better if that is possible. Many thanks in advance.

Forgive me if I am wrong here, but I use broadband and my telephone line is not affected. I use filters in the telephone sockets. Have I missed the point of your Q?
I think paulobrad just means if a call comes through on the other line, is it possible to see who's calling (and perhaps even take the call) on the other - computer - line. I've often wondered if a similar version is available for us poor dial-up users. I've seen it available in American; what happens is if someone calls, a dialogue message pops up telling you that you've got a call and what their number is. Anyone know if such software exists for England?

That's right indiesinger, depite having broadband and being able to take phone calls at the same time as surfing, if I have music on etc. I don't always here the phone so a popup on screen or something would be useful. Anyone know of this being possible?
You need a v92 modem and "Call waiting" feature on your phone line. Go Here .... http://www.red.net/support/resourcecentre/modem/v9

It looks like you a message alert if you have incoming or pending calls. Try ringcentral and virtualy connect your phone to the internet or to your computer .
