Hi all A friend is going to the stases soon and i want them to get me a ps2. What I need to know is will it work if i buy a plug adaptor and will games, controllers, memory cards, DVDs i buy here work on the ps2? Many thanks Bobby

USA voltage is different - 110 instead of 220 so need more than a plug adaptor.DVDS here are region 2 and play on PAL systems mostly....USA is Region1 and plays on NTSC so your tv cnnexion is also relevant. whole thing is a minefield....Id say PS2 deals here are pretty good and much less hassle!

This may be an urban myth propagated by Customs and Excise but because the dollar is so weak against our humble quid at the moment SO many people are bringing stuff back from the US that apparently HM customs are really tightening up their act, and are supposedly checking more or less ALL bags belonging to UK citizens coming back in from the US - don't know if this be true but if it is you'd be pushing it to try and convince them that you took an NTSC PS2 out to the US with you methinks.
