Someone please help!!

I was trying to transfer some documents from a floppy disc to a cd.
some things copied ok and some didn't.
Now when I try to open the floppy it wont. it says something about the drive not being formatted (???)

Have I lost all the information on my floppy?
If not what can I do to retrieve it?

All help will be really really appreciated.

Floppy disks are notoriously unreliable.

Try restarting, then reading the floppy again.

If it still doesn't work, then yes you have likely lost your data.

Did you not copy the files across to the hard drive first, before then copying to a CD?

You could always try it, but I wouldn't hold out much hope.
