i really want to email my friend in australia a clip from jonathen ross that i have on sky+ anyone any ideas how i do this maybe by uploading it to youtube i was thinking?

YouTube clearly state you cannot upload coypwrited material - and a tv recording is clearly copywrite.

Now that's out of the way - I don't have Sky+. Can you get the recording on to your pc easily?

Then you would need to convert it to an acceptabe format - .WMV, .AVI, .MOV or .MPG, using appropriate software.

Or you could upload it to a site such as photobucket - and allow your friend to view it by giving her the password. Again you have the problem of conversion.

You could try this - it seems to be free, but I don't know. It's a way of emailing large files, including video:

If you have a DVD recorder in your TV setup you can record the clip from Sky+ to DVD.

Then put the DVD in the PC and copy the clip frm DVD to your PC.

I dont think there is any way of sending something directly from Sky+ box to a PC.

The format is scrambled and needs the Sky card to unscramble it.
