The Type H card offers higher data rates than Type M cards.

Specific cameras may have compatibility issues and should be researched via any available information on the manufacturer's website.

So i went to this page to check compatibity with my Fujifilm A345 and looked down the table to find that the camera was compatible with all types of card but then i read note 12 at the bottom of the page and found it confusing.... could someone clear this up for me please.

(basically i would like to buy a 2gb xd card for my A345 and i want to know which to get, thanks)
The layout of that chart does appear quite ambiguous but I believe that it is meant to convey that the A345 is compatible with both types of card but only up to 1GB capacity, as shown in this clearer version...

I have an IQ of 138. I've looked at the chart and read the notes, and have not the faintest idea what they are trying to say. Maybe you should hack your camera in for a model by a manufacturer who is capable of describing products in plain English ;-)
Sorry Kempie, I was typing while you were posting. That chart is certainly a lot easier to read, and seems to confirm you interpretation!
