Where is the modem card??

Somebody on here told me i might find the manufacturer and model of my modem on my modem card but where exactly is it located??

Somewhere on the card itself printed on the green surface of the PCB itself should be a white box containing a symbol FC with a second C inside inside the first. The number should be there.
Although some modems are inbuilt to the motherboard most modems are plugged into a slot on the motherboard. To access the modem first turn off all power and unplug the power cable from your computer case. Remove either the full cover or the left hand side of the cover depending on the style of case. (Caution. Beware static electricity. Keep yourself grounded by continuously touching the case). Locate the modem by ascertaining what card the telephone wire is plugged into. Remove the modem (don't touch any circuitry or components) and inspect any and all writings on the modem or stickers thereon. Record any writings, a fcc id number will identify the modem if you cant find anthing else in writing. As a last resort record all writings on the chipset (that square slate colored thing). Post you findings back here
