Screensaver/screen picture

I'm on a new computer and running Vista basic and would like to put a picture of my recently departed border collie on the screen so it's there whenever I switch on, can anyone help me (preferably with idiot proof instructions). Thank you

Right click on the piture & click on " set as desktop background".
