Music keeps cutting out

Anyone know what would cause my music to keep cutting out whern i play it using windows media palyer. It will play the whole song but cut out about 5 times throughout. (But if I put it on my i pod it plays fine) Any ideas.

What other programmes are running? Does it happen if you close everything else?
