Somone has given me an XDA IIi but with no sim card in it. Could I run it on a pay as you go sim or do I need to get some kind of contract on it?

Any help much appreciated. TIA.

The easy way is to find out what network it was on before you got it and get a pay as you go sim dont bother paying for one they are free on the net
I used my XDA with my T Mobile PAYG Sim Card, but it worked out very expensive as I was also collecting my emails. A 10 credit only lasted 2 days.
