I don't know how they get it so it says HERE or whatever, and underlines it - that's something to do with HTML and I'm

To get a normal link, just open the webpage you want, copy and paste the address from the address bar at the top, press spce bar and hey presto!

HERE
I take that back, it worked.

HERE is a link which probably explains it better than I ever could...
Oh I'm so impressed with myself now...

So - who knows how to do smiley faces and colours?

Thanks for the info cheekychops, sometimes it's a lot easier to post the link & let somebody see the source in detail then try to explain in your oen words
You're not kidding!!
im still confused.... i would like to know how u did it but i dont understand what that web page is on about. Anyone wanna explain it to me in a more simple language (yes i am that simple)
If you want to insert a link, just go to the web page you wish to link to, then copy what is in the adress box and paste it in the box.
It automatically becomes a link.
KT - don't worry about 'clever' stuff for now. You want to post a clickable link.

Open another page, and get the page up that you want to link to.

Copy the address in the address bar at the top of the page. To do this double click on the address until it goes dark, then right click and click 'copy'.

Now in this answer box, right click and click 'paste'.

The link should now appear here. It will not look like a link until you click the 'submit' button which posts your answer.

It will automatically be a link.

Don't worry about smiley faces.
I know how to post a link, i just was wondering how to do the bit where u put a word say "click here" i remember in the days of CB someone telling me how to do it but then i sort of stopped using the site for ages and ages and now i cant remember how to do it...i remember it being quite easy and logical.....i can do it in word but on here it doesnt seam to work the same.
Type this in <-a-target='_blank' href="paste link here">HERE</a-> but leave out all the dash symbols and leave in the quotations but put your pasted link between them.
The Ab is messing with me now. Leave out everything between the a and the href.
okay here it goes im going to try now.

<-a-' target='_blank' href="www.theanswerbank.co.uk">CLICK HERE</a->
lets try that again...im sure i deleted the stuff u said to...silly AB<-a- target='_blank' href="www.theanswerbank.co.uk">CLICK HERE</a->
you left in the last dash
you have to leave all the dashes out and the beginning goes like this
yay i didd is thanks peanuts...and paddy sorry if i hyjacked ur thread
there ya go
The answerbank wont let you put that code in without messing it all up on me so i had to add stuff to try to make it work. sorry for the confusion
its fine peanuts, thats exactly what i wanted...the little code, all the writing on that weblink before just confused me...your bit of code was good enough for me to understand what i was doing....just to much wrtiting on the webpage....i have a word phobia at the moment i think, considering i have 2 weeks to write a dissertation and 2 assignments.
