v+ box to hdtv recognition

my v+ box is failing to recognise my toshiba hdtv. it has been fine and i was playing with the settings and now when i try to return the settings to hdmi input the v box fails to recognise it . it must be simple to put right but im afraid its me be simple instead. any advice much appreciated....thanks

Is your v+ box a high definition box connected via a HDMI cable ?

Or is it a "standard" v+ box just conected via the scart.
