Scroll wheel wont work

I have a Genius netscroll mouse. On my main computer it worked well.I moved it to my laptop where it works okay - bt the wheel doenst work. I have tried re-installing the driver from a floppy .The wheel clicks to give an option of selectable controls but it will not scroll. Any idea why?

Have you configured it correctly in the control panel? I have found the Microsoft Intellipoint drivers to be very good for "clone" mice: download it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results.aspx?pr
oductID=&freetext=intellipoint&DisplayLang=en then select the Microsoft mouse which is closest to your wheel mouse.
