I recently bought a Nokia 6103 mobile (having lost a previous one) and I am disappointed not to be able to use it for media messaging and other internet purposes.

My service provider O2 tells me "Your SIM is set up for GPRS and media messages, but the Nokia 6103 is not a phone that O2 has tested for GPRS as it is not a phone we support. I've sent the GPRS settings to your mobile, and you were still unable to connect to the internet. O2 can't guarantee that a phone that we don't sell or support will be able to connect to the Internet or send media messages."

WHAT DO I DO NOW? What service providers do others with Nokia phones use - especially anyone who has the model 6103? Advice welcome. Thanks.

Thank you maviscoull. It will take time to search it through, but your reference link looks interesting and worth exploring. I hadn't realised that a popular make of phone might not be supported by a well known service provider. Perhaps others will benefit from the experience.
