hi . what i like to know is there any way of knowing when i have sent an e mail? when i writ e a e mail and press send there is no (message sent) not like my mobile phone showes. this leaves me guessing to wheather it has gone or not thank . dp uk

Assuming that you use Outlook Express. You will be notified if it FAILS to send. Also you can look in your "Sent Items" folder (under local folders), where it should appear if it has been sent. (This is the default setting, to be sure it hasn't changed, click on Tools/Options, go to the Send tab and check that there is a tick in the box "Save copy of sent messages in the 'Sent Items' folder")
Send one to yourself. If it arrives, you're OK.

TO rojash thank but is there any whey that i can make it ping or say message sent,
look in the 'Sent Items' folder.

These are ones that have succesfully sent. The ones that don't will be in your outbox
Just wondering UB, do you ever read the other answers before posting yours?
yes rojash, was just pointing out the ones that didn't send would be in the outbox

thank to all . it took me a while to find out how to find the out box & sent items. but got there in the end. my problem with ( IT ) is that my brain works at the same speed as a sinclair ZX 48 . PS ub & rojash dont start a war over me .DP

Hangovers are terrible things...
lol no probs. Hope the hangover's a bit better now. I fully expect to have one of those tomorrow.
