BBC advert (drunken sailor)

Hi! It's not really an advert but one of the BBC's little interlude things that they used over Christmas. the song they use is 'what do you call a drunken sailor' but id really like to know what rendition and by who they use? can anyone help? cheers!

You might be referring to some sea shanties which I believe were composed by Malcolm Arnold, one of which was entitled "What shall we do with the drunken sailor?".

If this is the one to which you're referring, it's often played as one of the traditional pieces at the Last Night of the Proms.
