Can anyone tell me what a pps file is, I've received a file of this type but I can't play it?

It's a PowerPoint Slide show file, for which you need Microsoft PowerPoint, part of the Office suite. A viewer is available from Microsoft here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?Fa
