I have the above DVD Recorder. When I record to a DVD+R disc I can finalize it so that it will work on another DVD Players.
But when I record to a DVD+RW I do not know what to do. I have tried to do what the instructions say, but as I am a wee bit slow regarding technology I am getting nowhere.

Does anyone have this particular Recorder, and if so can you give me any advice as to what to do?

Thanks

I use DVD+RW disks on my Liteon recorder and I don't need to finalise these disks. Hopefully, they play on any DVD player.
You cannot finalise a dvdrw at all.

They are not meant to be finalised - they are meant to be 'wiped' and used again, many times, like a video tape.

Yes I know that Ethel. I have another 3 DVD Players in the house but they wont play the DVD+RW. They do however play the DVD+R discs.

Sorry, Cowboy, you didn't make that clear.

DVD rw play in two of my dvd players, but not the third, which is the oldest of them all.

Check your manuals and make sure your dvd players do play RW formats.

Never thought of checking the manuals for the other DVD Players. My original post did say that I'm a bit slow regarding technology...lol

Thanks Ethel.
I also have a LiteOn DVD recorder with hard drive. I have recorded onto DVD+RW discs, the manual says these are the only ones that you can't finalise. I can only play these discs on the LiteOn, they do not play on my other player or even my portable player.
ok dvd+r you finalise
dvd+rw you make compatable

I've still to figure out how to make compatible. Thanks for all replies.
