I currently have Sonar Home Studio 4 but am frustrated that I can only record MIDI (internal drum maps) OR external audio. When I try and put the two together i.e. guitar over a drum line I have inputted, I get an error message stating that the sound card either doesn't support the audio file or is in use elsewhere (whatever that means). Does anyone know if I would be able to get around this if I purchase the Line 6 Toneport UX1 utilising the USB Interface? In addition, I have been reading that you would need to enable ASIO drivers with Sonar to use the UX2, would Sonar recognise this driver from the UX2 or do I need to do something else on top of that?
