D-Link G624m router problems

Hi there,

I've set my router up and the internet works fine when i plug it in it with a wire but when i try to log in via the wireless setup up it just says "Acquiring network address" forever. Is there a way i can fix this please. thanks in advance

Have you tried the following:

1. Switch everything off, and then back on again, with the laptop being the very last to power up.

2 Repair network - click on the taskbar icon - support - repair

3. Temporarily disable your firewall.





Do the wireless setting in the router match the ones you are trying to connect with?
I've come across this problem when using encryption.
If you are using encryption, try without. If it works then try with a different type or lower strength.

cheers guys. I gave up in the end and just restarted the box and it somehow worked.
