I am having problems capturing my video from my Panasonic camcorder DV IN/OUT onto Adobe Premiere 6.0. Adobe Premiere cannot capture and comes up with a message of 'the device is unable for device control'. I have checked all the leads and everything else but to no avail. My PC is a HP Pavilion and runs on Windows ME which does not recognise my Panasonic Camera NV-DS38. Tried searching everything. Cannot find Driver for NV-DS38. Please help!!!!

Forget Premiere for capture - it's useless! Aside from that, ensure you have your camera on a mains supply and not just on battery - it's a requirement for IEEE1394. As for software, I gave up on Premiere and used Sonic Foundry's Vegas Video 3 - it gave great results.
