Samsung d900

Hi, I've just purchased a samsung d900 and I moved all my text messages from my old phone over to my new one, I did this by saving to sim and then saving to new phone, it took me a while but I got there in the end! Now, when I go to my memory status it tells me I have 190 messages saved on my phone but when I go into my inbox I only have 112 to view. Could anyone tell me if the messages are stored somewhere else on the phone and if they are, how can I get access to them?

Unfortunately the phone may be limited to the number of messages that can be viewed 190 is alot (why save all them) the only way is to delete a few and the others will pop up.
