mp3 player help!!!...... :(

what does synchronize device mean have I to do it?......and also when i try to drag music into my device only some music loads and others dont.
My format for the device is windows media audio WMA @ 192 kbps in which i can change if i want to......to MP3 or MP3 VBR whatever that is! When i try to use Windows media player to drag music I can't do any..........I have tried changing the format to MP3 but it then mentions about the music being on another computer...........FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.....i need help fast. Can someone simplify all this for me. I'm supposed to be using Windows 9 but can only get some music onto my mp3 via Real player.
