AVI converter

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a free program I can download to convert AVI files into one that Windows Media Player can read? Or on the other side, does anyone know of a program I can download which will play AVI files?

avi files should ploay in wmp just fuine.maybe you are missing a codec ?

run your avi files through that and it'll tell you what codecs you need to play it, then google them.

Alternativley, download vlc media player - it'll play almost anything.

i use winavi converter to convert avi files in dvd files to play on dvd players. this program can also convert many other files. for more info go to http://www.winavi.com/en/video-converter/video -converter.htm.
