I am just about to purchase my first LCD television to be mounted on the wall. However I am not very clued up when it comes to the installation and DIY side of things. I want the television mounted with the wires consealed in the wall. Will an electrician do this for me as well as the re-building of the wall? I think the wall is brick so it won't be a case of re-plastering.

Hi Beastly,

May I suggest that you get an electrician to install an electrical socket and an aerial socket on the wall behind your TV.

The other problem with wall mounted TV's is attaching a recorder or any other accessory.

Regards
You will need to have these wires chased in to the plaster/brickwork and made good. Then you will need to redecorate the wall.
