autoplay html not working

i've embedded a wma file on my website using HTML but when i type: autostart="false" it doesn't work and keeps starts playing when i launch the page in my browser... why is this? and how can i stop it

I've experienced that as well but never had the inclination to look into it much.
One way round it is to upload any video files (if that's what you're embedding) to youtube : their videos *always* require you to press play and you can embed those.
