Whats your gaming pedigree? Mine started in 1980 on the space invaders machine in the local chip shop. Then was the commodore PETs at school. By 1982 I had my first 'home' computer, a Sinclair ZX81. Jealous at my mates who had ZX Spectrums boasting colour graphics and sound I upgraded to a 48k Spectrum in 1983. 1986 saw out with the speccy and in with the more powerful Commodore 64. My world was blown apart in 1990 by the Commodore Amiga A500. I owned this machine until 1995 when I got my first PC, a 32mb 386. I've also owned a Sega Master System, Game Gear and megadrive. Moved on to a PS1 in 1997, PS2 in 2003 and now have exclusively played XBox since 2004. I'm not really into PC gaming due to compatibility problems and resource hungriness of the modern day game. I am a games nerd. please shoot me.

Hi Booldawg,

Does this include non-machine games?

Question Author
it doesnt include monopoly or even pocket billiards. Games that are made out of 0s and 1s only.
Pretty similar to yours ...up to PS1 .. PC only now, consoles & their games are TOO expensive.
but naz...surely keeping your pc up to spec to play games dont come cheap either? i upgraded many comps in mine last year and it cost a small fortune.

bought a SNES off e-bay a couple of months ago cos I lost my original one. I rock at Streetfighter again.
yes Mattk ... but can you do complicated video editing on a PS2 ?

Will an X-Box 360 run Photoshop CS2 ?

Can you get a Dreacast to run Maya ?

Can I drive through San Andreas on a Gamecube, and at the same time be downloading the top 40 albums ?

If I got a new console every time one was released, I'd be spending a lot more than I do on my PC upgrades ... and PC games ARE generally cheaper than console ones ... why's that then ?...

***Dreamcast***

why is it you only spot a spelling mistake after hitting the 'submit' button?

I'm amazed at how many people have gone from ps2 to the xbox, bearing in mind they were of the same 'generation' the xbox does cut it above the ps2 though
My first was an Amstrad CPC 464 in 1987, tho id been gaming for years living next to a seafront arcade....

Was pretty well into it from then in, got a Master System to play arcade conversions in doors, then got a bit more extreme wanted import consoles only at 12 got my first PC Engine Core II, nest xmas the Super CDRom2....then the nest year Neo Geo CD and i finally had actual arcade games at home hehe, with a bit of loading time lol.

Since then ive had pretty much everything and now im cutting my game selection back as i hardly ever play most of it.
Space Invaders,Fruit Machines and Track and Field in the chippy, My mate had ZX81 and an Oric, but I wern`t into computers back then, then ps1,ps2 now PC, still play Ps2...Rally games and Tiger Woods 06
