I used to be able to back up all my files onto a CD-RW by just copy and pasting in windows explorer onto my CD. I could also right click my cd drive and select erase, allowing me to erase the cd.

Now it will not allow me to copy and paste onto any cd, and the "erase"function has dissapeared.

I also used to be able to select which of my 2 cd drives I could select as my default copier, that right click option has now also gone. I have not installed any software or changed any settings.

Further to the this when i do richt click on my DVD or CD drive it does not have the "record" tab has also dissapeard.

Arrghhh! help!

Sorry to ask something so obvious, but are you sure you are using a CD-RW disk and not a CD-R disk.

A CD-RW disk allows copy and delete like you wish to do.

A CD-R is a write once and does not allow you to delete files.
