Ottlook express & BT Openworld - How do i switch off outlook?

Hi all, I use BT Openworld as my ISP & Outlook express as my emial program. When i double click on the BT icon on my desktop to connect to the net, Outlook starts up as well. I want to stop outlook from starting up at the same time!
Any ideas?

In Internet Explorer = click on Tools then select Internet Options. Click the programs tab and have a look at what is selected.

There might be something similar in Outlook Express to tick as well.
