CD-R Annoyance!!

I was recently sent the last episodes of Lost Series two (woo!) on CD-Rs. But when i go to play the, I can get the sound alright, but it says "Error downloading codac" I tried running it in a few different programmes, but it just kep coming up "error!" Anything I can do? Or is it just on the CD??? :'(

Download GSpot . Run the file through it, and it'll tell you what codec you need. Then google the codec and download and install it.

Sounds live your talking about Divx, Xvid or some other type of Mpeg4 file. The chances are the audio component of the file was coded using a slightly more unusual conversion format, maybe Ogg Vorbis for example. In order to play these files you too will need the codec (translation software) installed on your PC. I suggest going to divx.com and downloading there free viewer which comes bundled with the necessary codecs to watch and listen. Let me know how you get on, or if I can help further.
