Glitch or something worse?

Last night I was online with just one Q and A site open and chatting to two friends on messenger. Halfway through a reply to a post my internet shut down by itself. Both my msn windows stayed open and I noticed that none of my icons/emotes worked (apart from the default ones) I opened up IE and had no problems getting back on the internet or back on the site where I was. I then signed out and back into msn and my icons had come back. Is this just a glitch or could it be something worse like malware or a virus?

Thanks

This happens to me a lot too. You computer just temporarily lost connection to the internet, most likely. Do you connect via a wireless router?

Hi fo3nix, yeah I do have wireless, but usually when it loses connection the internet doesnt shut down and I never lost my emotes on msn before, so I thought it may be something bad. Looks like its probably is just a glitch, thanks :)

Yea, I'd say so. Nothing to worry about.
