Has he actually asked you for advice on how to get rid of them or are you trying to offer advice that he might not want?

if it's Gynaecomastia then it's an operation, If it's excess fat then diet and exercise will help. From what you say though it sounds like the former, see here:

Perhaps he could try kick boxing on you for being interfering and offensive?

Often this is not due to a lack of exercise or being overweight, in fact many experts believe that it is caused by a rise in female hormones leaking into the environment, such as oestragen in meat factories and in our water supplies. The UK Environment Agency have even published a report which suggests that fish are developing more female characteristics. Certain drugs can trigger glandular breast growth in men, as can some rare genetic and hormonal diseases, as well as excessive alcohol consumption.

So before you try to humiliate this person and interfere in their personal life, know your facts.
Maybe it is up to find out what exercise to do if he really wants it that is and not because you want him to lose the man boobs
A colleague at work has a flappy gob. They are not too bad but bad enough to notice. Have suggested he occasionally keeps his more offensive notions to himself but he has refused. He isnt even stupid, just slightly thoughtless. apart from maybe writing 'think before speaking on his hand', what will help him avoid a kicking?
Sorry Waldo, but when someone has a flappy gob there really is nothing that can be done to avoid it.
Duct tape is always best waldo
Ae you called spaced for a very obvious reason?

Before everyone critisizes and makes stupid comments on here, why dont you stop and think that maybe, just maybe my friend has asked to have this post requested. It is a serious question, which, if I can, would like serious or even just helpful answers to.

WaldoMcfroog and noxlumos you're just as bad as octavius, so just keep your stupid, childish comments to yourself. The only person I can thank is Looshead. Many thanks for that loosehead, I will forward the link onto my mate.

Cheers

redcrx did ask and you didnt answer her
Stop being such big fat bullies you lot!
spaced, come and have a go if you thing you're hard enough.

In the meantime, my stupid comments as you call them are scientific fact and as loosehead said, the condition probably requires an operation rather than any fat burning exercises, although excessive alcohol consumption in men has also been known to boost female hormones which lead to bigger boobs.

Your original post came across as condescending and you hadn't replied to redcrx. If as you it wasn't, then I apologise for my other comments.

I would say that it certainly wasn't clear from the OP that the colleague had stated he needed help with his problem.

It looked to me as if you were offended by his 'man boobs' and that he may have not thought he had a *problem*.

It does help to be much clearer in your question & state all facts ~ therefore avoiding any replies you may find offensive or silly...as well as answer questions relating to your question (ie the first answer from redcrx)

Your initial post implied that you had offered help that had been refused usually a sure sign of a person poking their oar in, and the very terminology you use desriptively is disparaging. Make yourself clearer next time and you'll get pleasanter answers, as it was it struck nearly all of us as a derogatory post.I can tell you from pesonal experience that Waldo and Octavius are very fine people who'll help anyone they can but who'll stick up for those being got at, which is what the tone of your question implied you were doing.

whatever...its friday.

There was nothing silly about my post. I only asked if he had requested your help. If he has then thats fair enough but your question did make it seem that you were trying to change someone that was happy enough to stay as they are (ie not going to kung-fu)

Ive seen people point out others' 'imperfections' before and its not nice for the person on the receiving end of the advice. if you were doing it without being asked for your opinion then it wouldnt be fair for people on here to give you the information to force upon him.

Perhaps in future you should just ensure that your questions wont be taken the wrong way. I hope that youve been given some good info now.

I met my 60 year old male friend 5 years ago. He had spent over 30 years without a love life because of his man boobs as you call them. At school he had been the boxing champion and had spent years building up his chest afterwards. Due to many years of sitting at his printing job in the years that followed, his muscles began to show the underlying problem, and his confidence in his manhood declined. Women have the same sorts of problems too. Don't we all just like to be loved for who and what we are. I reckon its a good job your just his colleague, and not his friend. You have no empathy in your soul my friend, its the most important of all the human attributes that make people want to make friends with you.
