We have 2 DVD players, but only one is a recorder.

We sometimes want to watch a recorded DVD on the other player, which is fine except that it freezes every 10 minutes and the only way to continue is to turn it off and on again and FF to where you were?

That sounds weird. I have a cheap DVD recorder that I bought from Aldi's and I have a separate DVD player and I can watch nearly all of my copies on my player. Occasionally if I have a wonky disc it won't play on the player o sometimes it will play on the player but not on my DVD Rom on my computer. There must be a fault with that particular unit. My dad has one and the irst DVD recorder he bought had a VHS recorder built in but you couldn't record your tapes on to the DVD recorder which was rather the whole point as he wanted to copy off old stuff onto DVD - so he took it back - got a refund and bought he sme cheap one as me.
