i need to give new address details for my current account, however it has a lot of d debits set up on it- i assume my account number will not change but do i need to contact all the d debits or will the debits continue to go through?

Your direct debits will remain fine - however you will probably need to contact the companies to change your address details though as I assume you have a financial arrangement with them - and they may need to send you letters / details etc.
