QuickTime

QuickTime has installed itself. When I logged on this morning I had a message from PP (Pest Patrol) saying it had removed some unwanted data. But I have the QT icon in my tray. I have checked my Prog files it's not in there. Also checked Add/Remove not there either. I found the various files by "Search" QT.would it be safe to remove all the files this way ?? Many Thanks.
