Plural of Virus

Following on from an answer given earlier i am curious to know if the plural given 'virii' was a mis-spelling or is it the jargon version as the dictionary lists 'viruses' as the only plural spelling.

As I assume I'm the one you're talking about... It's years since I was taught those kinds of things at school, but I seem to remember that it was virii (these days so many words are americanised, such as burglarised instead of burgled, that you simply can't tell). I could of course be wrong!
