rebooting router

i have a netgear router and it stays on all time. from time to time while playing internet games i lose connection and have to re boot my router for it to work properly again. it doesnt happen while surfing just playing. generally occurs around 9 am and 5 pm. it is annoying any1 have any ideas or suggestions as to what could b causing this. my firmware etc is all up to date and netgear doesnt offer any advice? i am on 8meg bulldog broadband

This isnt all that rare. It's probably due to the high amount of bandwith that is being transferred from your modem through the router at any one time. The 8MB/s connection wont help either.


Although, this shouldnt happen as frequently as you have mentioned. If you continue to experience problems i would advise contacting NetGear.
