popup blocker

i try to access a website from my desk top icon,but alas a pop up blocker prevents from doing so, any idea to cure this problem, would be great.ps i think mozilla firefox has instigated this fault but i do not know how to get rid of it.

Can you access it from the address bar?
The default setting within Firefox is to block all popups. To change it, go to Tools, then Options. Click on Web Features. Either remove the tick next to 'Block Popups' or, better, use the 'Allowed Sites' button to permit popups only from the one particular site which you want to receive them from.

yes i can access through internet explorer and type in website on address bar,but i should be able to just click on icon

thanks buenchico,i have got rid of mozilla firefox,so i cannot follow that procedure,

simply hold down the ctrl key and then click and the link should then be open.

Shame you got rid of Firefox... it's the best and safest browser around, IMHO ;-)
