i recently put some pictures into a microsoft word doc. but couldn't move them, one of you kind people told me how and now i can move them anywhere. i now need to fade them or make them completely transparent so that i can type over the top of them but still see them. thank you

Insert picture. Make sure you have selected picture.


Go to Format - choose picture.


From tabs choose picture.


Find Image Control and from drop down box choose Watermark.


That might be what you want.

Bear in mind that if you make them comletely transparent no-one will be able to see them.

right click picture, format picture. Click layout tab and select "behind text". Then click on "picture" tab and select colour as "watermark". If its too light you can play with contrast and brightness
