help! if im on a website and i click on a link....nothing! just a white screen!! oh the egg timer thing just goes forever too! wots happening?

every link on every website? or just one website/link? i once had a popup blocker that wouldnt let me open pages in a new windows

do you get any sort of warning message?

Anything about Active X controls?

This would appear on a white bar across the top of the white screen you mentioned.
(It does on mine - both IE and Firefox) -
if I hit a site with active x content.

The rest of the page stays white.

Have you looked at your options settings from the tools menu?
This should tell you how your browser is configured for privacy/cookies/security etc.

What are they?
