I am looking for a decent beginners JavaScript book. I know HTML very well, but know almost nothing of JavaScript. Any suggestions?

Try 'Designing with Javascript:Creating Dynamic Web Pages' by Nick Heinle (who incredibly was 17 when he wrote the book) It's a fairly chatty and entertaining introduction to Javascript without being patronising, and explains some genuinely useful scripts for your sites. Good luck!
