I have a Panasonic television which has integrated Freeview built in.

I want to but a DVD recorder with possible a built in hard drive.

Will this allow me to record one Freeview channel, while I watch another Freeview channel at the same time?

Will the DVD recorder/Hard drive have enough channels available to allow this?

If so, what do I need to look for?

Thanks

i would say the answer is no as your freeview is only 1 signal and you are asking for your recorder to record two signals at once.

the only way you would be able to record two channels would be to record a terrestrial channel and a freeview channel ie two seperate signals

...get a cheap STB and add it to the set up.........that would work I think....otherwise NO............commoner.
There are some DVD recorders now with Freeview built in. That should allow you to record one and watch another. If you want DVD recorder/HDD AND Freeview in one box, it might cost quite a bit - look at Sony (and maybe Panasonic).
