I was using my laptop last night, plugged into the mains with the AC adaptor and it started beeping telling me the battery was low. I sensibly saved my work and was about to switch it off when it went into hibernation-mode. I now cant get it to turn back on again! If its plugged into the mains surely is should just re-charge? Does this take a long time? Any ideas? Thanks x

hi there Claireabella

Hibernation occurs either at a set interval (usually set under "screensaver/power options/hibernate")

right-click on the desktop and choose "properties"

go to: "screensaver/power options/hibernate"

select either: on/off

to get your laptop to work again, try removing the battery and just running it from the mains power. you can attach the battery whilst it is switched on - no problems there

good luck

Try holding down the power button for ... say 10 seconds. Then try and start it again.
