No Paid For Anti Virus But Masses Of Pop Up Ads For Them! What A F Ing Pain. How Do I Get Rid Please??

I do not have an Anti Virus which I have paid for (Norton etc) but am inundated with the dialogue box type of ads in the bottom corner of the screen. How do I permanently get rid of these very annoying pop ups please??  If i fork out for McAfee or Norton orMozilla  would that do the trick. Pain in the "***" for this novice. Help please  Chris

adblock+ stops all manner of nasty pop ups

ublock origin,you will find both in firefox add ons

If, just if, you have any of those ant vi apps installed, whether inadvertantly or previously but now not suscribing, then uninstall them from your system or they will keep prodding you. Look in your apps or downloads lists and if they are there uninstall.
