Which? reviewed 'phones a few month ago and you can use this link to get behind the paywall.

^^^ Even if we ignore the fact that it's illegal to bypass firewalls, that link doesn't work.

You've not defined 'budget' in your post, Baz.  TechRadar (which I've got far more confidence in than 'Which?' anyway) rates the Samsung Galaxy A56 as the best budget Android phone currently available but it's still around £250.  For a cheaper, but still well-reviewed, option, consider the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G, at around £120:

Not a direct answer but I always check the release date before buying a phone, tablet pc etc.

I want to know that it will be updated for a good few years

Does my link work for anyone else?

Yes, it does

Cheers!

It works for me.

Have a look at the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion if Motorola is your favourite

Corby, the link opens but the page is still behind a paywall.

which? verdict on the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion

"A fantastic choice

This phone performs excellently overall, with powerful processing, good cameras and decent battery life, all wrapped up in a waterproof package. The only real downside is the foolable face scanner, but you can avoid using this.

pros

Powerful

Good cameras

Decent call quality

Excellent display

Easy to use

Decent speakers

Good battery life

Waterproof

Wi-Fi 6 compatible

cons

Facial recognition system can be fooled

Could be damaged if dropped

No wireless charging"

Bazile, it was released May 24

Chris @ 13:48...thanks for the Amazon recommendation...it looks like a good replacement for my A10 that's short on space.

I bought an OPPO from thebigphonestore - very happy with it. 5G & android13. Described as "as new" (box had been opened but I don't think the contents had been removed). List £160 / paid £110.

Chris, I believe that's what it has...I've had the phone since it came out in 2019.

Any one that doesn't use the data socket for charging.

The cable barely stays in my present mobile any more, and when it is in, it opts to stop charging as soon as I look away.

Pasta, have you bought a micro sd memory card and put it in your phone? Phones don't normally come with one.

OG, you can get the port replaced , it cost me £10

OG, try changing the charging cable
