Hidden Desk Top Icons

My Windows 10 laptop has hidden my Desktop icons, any idea how I can get them back please?

How do you know they are "hidden" rather than absent? What says they are hidden?

To hide or show desktop icons in Windows, right-click on an empty area of the desktop, navigate to "View", and then check or uncheck "Show desktop icons". This action toggles the visibility of all icons on the desktop. For more granular control, you can customize which icons are displayed by right-clicking the desktop, selecting "Personalize", then "Themes", and finally "Desktop icon settings".

Granular access control is a concept in computer science that refers to the practice of granting differing levels of access to a particular resource to particular users. Access determines what a user is authorized to do in a system.
