How To Save Place In Youtube Premium?

I would like to be able to be playing a YouTube premium video, then part way through if I want to pause or look something up in another app, when I resume YouTube later I would like it to restart from the same point that it left off. 
 

I can't find any wat to do this.

Click anywhere in the video and it will pause.  Click again and it will restart from that point.  

Does that not work for you?

No. It always starts from the beginning which is ultra annoying

Do you close the app instead of minimising it? What device are you using?

Does it still happen if you download it and watch offline?

If you are watching YTube as an app rather than online then starting another app is switching off YTube. Depending on your os and device you need to use the milti app option that is available. I just double click and my desktop will run two or more apps.

To get a link which starts a YouTube video at a particular point, click 'Share' and put a tick in the 'Start at' box.  Click 'Copy' to get the link onto your clipboard.

You can then either paste the link into, say, a Word document or enter it into the URL field in your browser and bookmark that page.
