As far as I know it goes in yearly subscriptions not in 2005, 2006 etc. for instance mine is due for renewal in February because I bought it last February. So I think if you renew it now it will last for one year from the date of purchase.
to lady_p_gold are you happy with norton as mine came new with my computer,I have a tesco internet security disc I can install as i had that when i went on broadband and when i install that it will be charged at 50p extra on my broadband subscription per month my norton is due to expire in 14 days. thanks for any reply
hi - yes I have been perfectly happy with Norton, however I do run Ad Aware and Spybot also for any other little nasty things. I have not had any problems to date, but make sure I always keep it updated.

Yes, i would definately un-install Norton. it takes ages for them to update there system when any new virus's are released.

I use Avast home 4, its free and have never had any grief get through.

I agree. I used to have NAV, but recurrent problems with failure to detect incoming viruses (despite regular "updates") and a whole string of irritating conflicts with almost every other program on my computer eventually forced me to give it up.

I now use PC-cillin, which I understand from others can also cause a few problems, but has worked fine for me. In addition, I also have Adaware and Spybot - both free to private users and very efficient.

thanks for your replies
